I installed vista on my laptop last night and i had the drivers disc for my wireless card which is an Intel PRO/Wireless 2915ABG so i went on intels website and downloaded the drivers and manually installed it (drama drama drama) when it finally installs it does not read any networks in the area and i asked the administration of the wireless and they said yes it works with vista. (AND YES MY WIRELESS IS ON HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE WISE CAUSE I KNOW THATS THE FIRST THING YALL GOING TO SAY)

You are not alone. The new Vista computers are a new breed. They are highly selective and highly secure. With that being said, they generally do not take kindly to any kind of intrusion of different software and hardware. I have tried to no avail to get my new vista laptop into my wireless network. I have not given up but it's a challenge for sure. Anyone interested in vista should buy a preinstalled brand new computer. They're cheap, powerful and the security on them is beyond compare. Hope this helps.

As I tell everyone, stick with XP or get a Mac.
