Go to a temp service like Manpower. You can get your foot in the door for an office job (if you've got computer skills) or a manufacturing job.
You can apply in retail stores like drug stores or department stores.
There's something out there for you..you just have to look for it.

also look in retail places at stuff you like. if you like sewing, apply at a fabric place, for example. also can try lo tech, buy the sunday newspaper and see what kind of jobs hiring in your area
