Brassica is a genus of plants in the mustard family (Brassicaceae). The members of the genus may be collectively known either as cabbages, or as mustards.

Almost all parts of some species or other have been developed for food, including the root (swedes, turnips), stems (kohlrabi), leaves (cabbage, brussels sprouts), flowers (cauliflower, broccoli), and seeds (many, including mustard seed, oilseed rape (known as "canola" in North America)).

What Jasandjess wrote is all good stuff. But perhaps you were asking about brassicas that are garden flowers rather than garden vegetables. The best known garden flower in the Brassica family is the Stock ... they have a very nice fragrance and come in lots of colors.
