I've only thought about doing this as maybe an editing from various songs ... perhaps including the following:

"Hello, I Love You" - The Doors
"Telephone Line" - ELO ("Hello? How are you? Have you been alright?)
"Who are You" - The Who
"Hello, Goodbye" - The Beatles
"Say Hello" - April Wine

Well, I'm sure that you get the idea. A buddy of mine once recorded song lyrics onto his machine ... I can't recall what the tune is or even who sings it, but the line in there was, "A guy like me doesn't get many dates!" Funny stuff.

I used to have a song as my "answer" message - some wild drinking song in the late 80's early 90's...can't remember what it was but I had it playing loudly before I said "Sorry, radio is too loud, leave a message." It was fun for a while.

A long time ago we got my grandma an answering machine for christmas. My sister and I sang "Grandma got run over by a reindeer" and then somehow went into "leave a message after the beep"

When I was in 6th grade a long long time ago. It's SOOO annoying now to hear those ringback tones! I keep the racket away from my ear until it suddenly stops and I know they picked up.

Nope! I think outgoing messages should be short and sweet. Most people don't want to wait through long messages each time they call before they can leave their message.

No. I couldn't be bothered, my moods and song changes would be too fast changing to even think about setting it up!
