the best way is to get a decent night's sleep the night before!
if that's not an option:
start with a shower, and if you can face it, some aerobic exercise
get plenty of fresh air during the day
move about, stretch your legs
drink coffee, but only up until about 5 pm or you wont sleep at night
dont eat a heavy meal at lunchtime, go for protein, fruit and vegetables to release energy throughout the day
keep fairly busy - it's when you sit and relax you'll feel like sleeping

A decent night's sleep, hard engrossing work, balanced diet with green vegetables, a couple of cups of coffee & lastly but the most important -Stay away from beds, sofas or even something to recline on ( unless u r the type who can take a nap standing!

sleep well at night. a certain amount of exercise is good for staying awake during the day, fresh air, don't over eat.

Drink cold water, it is better than having coffee all day! Also take a mult-vitamin it will help you get alot of energy for the day! If you are working then when you have breaks take short walks outside, offices can get really stuffy and make a person really tired to!

Try eating some nuts nice fruit carrots an some nice juices so you have more energy also raisins are good energy source , an make sure you drink plenty of water and a good nights rest will help.

Eating protein helps me. If I eat foods high in carbs I am sleepy most of the day. So I try to eat things that are high in protein, low in fat and limit my carbs until my nighttime meal. I also drink one to two cups of coffee in the morning and I drink tea at night.
Eating this way seems to keep my sugar levels even throughout the day.
