In the Job market how often do potential Employers do credit checks?

Looking for a new job but my credit is bad. Do most employers do credit checks or is there still a good amount that don't?

alot of companies that deal with some form of $ either cash,checks or even petty cash will do a check
if they deal with CC or social security #'s they will

Depends on the job. Some companies feel if you cant handle your own money you may steal or not handle thier money. A former customer lost her job at a bank when she went bankrupt.
