Well...I used own an '85 240. I had the car for 6 yrs...those were some good times. :) Anyway...you shall find it under the hood on the driver side. Right behind the battery you will see a rail on the wall of the engine bay. Your flasher relay should be the last component on the rail. Behind this rail you will also see another bracket that sticks out about 2" from the wall. You might also find the flasher alternately mounted on it.
Ya know...I took pics of the engine bay before I let the car go. I wish I had the pics with me now so I could tell you the exact location.
btw...If your lights are flashing too fast that means on of them is burnt out, usually one of the rear turn signals.

Not too sure but it may be behind the dash near the fuses.
