Lube is grease. They grease such things as bearing, universal joints, and mostly front end (steering) joints. Not as important on the newer cars.

It means applying grease to various points in the suspension. Many cars these days have sealed suspensions, and can't be lubed.

the lube portion of that sign is due to the fact that on some older cars, specific points on the suspension need to be lubed with gear oil regularly to keep them working. it does not refer to motor oil...
