Isn't anyone else getting completely sick of this show? What is the hype all about? There were only ever two winners of the show that went on to do anything big....Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood......lately it seems that the runner-ups have brighter careers than the winners which completely goes to show that it's all crap. I'm frankly getting sick of the tv shows i enjoy watching on Fox (House) always having to go on these 3 week long breaks because Fox wants to do a big long run of American Idol. I'm going to throw a party the day this show goes off the air!

i agree with everyone about all the hype getting to a level that is beyond annoying, and the ridiculousness of how runners-up always seem to find levels of success most of the winners never even see. i've never watched this show for an entire season, but during the audition period people used to hold parties to watch the audtion nights together and laugh at all the CRAZIES. this show is more like a look at the psychological problems across america than a talent competition. and i am pretty sure people vote based on attractiveness, at least at first, because some of the better talent goes home first. at the end, they vote based on who they plain LIKE better. and i think that all the networks rearrange their show schedules just like fox to make room for american idol. they think their shows can't compete with idol (I'M TALKING TO YOU, NBC), but really all they are doing is making their viewers incredibly angry. fox is just lucky they never try to put idol on monday nights or 24 fans would "storm the bastille" so to speak.

i'm sick of the show too, i stopped watching after season 1 . what season is it on 5 / 6 ? they never show the good singers when a new season starts up again. it's mostly the people who can't sing and about 5 who can sing. the show is called american idol cus they want to find the next best singer not the next worse. when i go to school sometimes all i hear are kids saying ooh omg did you see what happened on american idol last night, who got booted off ?! i don't find the show entertaining at all.

o.k. i will admit, im no longer a great fan of brooke's yet she does have a great voice. although, i think that she doesnt have good diploma presence in any respect and has a tough time accepting contructive critism from the judges. a week it sounds as though as though shes going to burst into tears. tells me that if she will't take the comments from the judges, theres no way she'll make it in the music industry the place you're continuously getting judged or undesirable comments. she only looks like the form of individual who wouldnt go everywhere and can be yet another failed idol. i ought to declare that i havent been smoking a darn element and that i might in no way purchase her cd if she finally controlled to return out with one. so sorry. you have ur opinion and that i've got mine.

Yeah I got tired of it too after 3 seasons. I don't watch it or any of it's clones like that silly search a Pussycat Doll.
Oh and you forgot to mention the latest Idol "loser" who just won an Oscar for her amazing performance in Dream Girls.

I'm with you....6 seasons is enough!!!! I hate Fox's scrambling around American Idol to put every other loser show on,,,they do one week of House to peek your interest and Bam!! 3 more weeks of waiting.

I never watch American Idol, I think it is fixed and the music isn't always great.. I like Rockstar better

Up until this season I have enjoyed the show but now I am over it! I agree its been on way too long!

because noone seems to have a life anymore, or are ashamed of where their live has gone. That's the only true reason people watch reality based t.v. anymore. They hate what their lives have become and enjoy watching other people's misery. American Idol is over-saturated, over-done, and in overkill mode.

The first couple of seasons were good but yes it's long drawn out and I'm pretty disgusted that Vagina (Sanjaya) is still on it.
