Do they need their freedom although they haven't grown up in nature? And also... Are owls a death symbol? I mean, do owls warn us that someone is going to die by crying?

NO NO NO NO!!!!

Owls DO NOT MAKE GOOD PETS! They look cute and cuddly, but they are wild preditors with REALLY sharp talons and beaks. Only experienced and LICENSED rehabilitators should EVER attempt to care for an owl. In most countries it is also ILLEGAL to raise / care for any wild animal without the proper permits to do so.

Sounds like you want to raise one from a chick. Here's the major gross factor. You have to freshly kill, tear apart, and HAND FEED raw meat to the chick for 2 months before it can attept to eat smaller rodents by itself. Even those have to be fresh killed. Depending on the species, owls also eat between 4 mice and 1 rabbit A NIGHT! that's an awful lot of dead small animals you have to keep to feed one live one you aren't supposed to have.

Owls symbolize intellegence, dreams, mystery, not death.
