Not sure what you are getting at here, but for me....
The soul or spirit of a person is eternal. It is written that we will ;ive in one of two places. Eternal Hell or Eternal Heaven. The question then is which do you choose? Because life is all about choices. Each day you choose to go to work, or not, to eat breakfast or not, to believe God or not. To believe Budha or not. To believe mohamed, or not, to love your family or not. Most of the choices heve very little and merely temporal consequences.
One question has eternal consequences.
If you believe in the Jesus as the Son of God the the consequence is eternal life. If you do not believe upon Him then the consequence, in His own words, eternal darkness, where there will be much graoning and gnashing of teeth.
