no. they have nothing intelligent to contribute and yet are curious as to what direction the answers will go. It is better than all the boneheads that have NO answer to a question being presented and still feel compelled to type something out. That to me is odd.
Have a lovely day!

Are you talking about me? Well, you find it even more odd when I 'star' a question and remove it after sometime!

No cos they might be thinking "good question, I want an answer to that as well", so they star it then wait to see what answers other people put.

no because I have not asked a question ever since the stars came int yahoo!answers but I have seen stars given to questions by people who have not answered them and it is very strange

Actually, I can understand that. Sometimes I see great questions that I cannot think of an adequate response to. Giving it a star is like saying "Great Question!!!"

I find it odd when people don't answer my questions but answer really stupid ones others ask.

Sometimes I've passed my limit for answering questions but I'll see someone I like and want to show some love.

I've done that, I found the question to be funny or interesting, but really had nothing to offer, why not star.

No. I do that a lot. People might like the question, but don't know how to answer it.
