Is it bad to skip periods while your on your pill?
I am..
I have been since.. November. Yeah I havent had a period since then and is this bad? Lately I've gotten a few tiny blood smudges but thats it.
I heard about blood clots and how if I take the sugar pills now I will get really sick.

I've heard from some its fine to skip, others that is okay to skip a few times, and others say NO!!! Its bad!

I thought your question implied you've been purposely skipping by not taking the white pills for 7 days. If that's the case, people do it, but it's not the way most birth control pills were intended to be used, so it's probably not a good idea. Especially not every month for as long as you've been doing it. Ask your doctor or the clinic providing you with birth control about the birth control pills designed to give you lighter periods, or about Seasonale, which is safe to use throughout the year with only 4 breaks to get your period. It's best to use something as it's intended, and since those are available, do that to treat your body and health well.

First, if you are sexually active, get a home pregnancy kit and be sure you are not pregnant. It can happen..I have a son as proof..especially if you missed or skipped any pills or were on certain medications and didn't use a back up method.

There are many things that could cause you to miss a period here or there, but you are now going on month 5. Generally speaking, that points to a more urgent issue. I think it is a bad sign, you might be pregnant huni, you need to go and see your sdoctor or go to a clinic and get checked out as you might be pregnant and this can be a sign!!! Dont worry about it until you have had a test though or you could make it worse for yourself hun kk!!!! Gud luck!!!
