I have numerous jpg images on my computer that will not longer open with photoshop, psp, or picture publisher. Is there any way for me to restore these so that I can still view and edit them?

Check your file type settings.

You may have inadvertantly associated .jpg with something other than your photo programs. Try right clicking on one of them and use "open with" - use photoshop, psp as the program and see if they open. If so, go to Control Panel, click tools, then Folder Options, then file types. Find the .jpg extension and re-associtate it with whatever program you like.

If that isnt the issue then you need a file recovery program.

I don't know why this has happened but you might try going to 'start' > search > files and folders > (key in) .jpg >click search

And see what happens.
