It does sound like you could be pregnant. What you describe as 'spotting' sounds like you have experienced implantation bleeding. This occurs when the fertilised egg implants itself in your uterus. It comes on about the time or slightly earlier than your expected period but is much lighter, pinkish or brownish and scanty. It may be continual or on and off for a few days. You may only notice it as you did when you went to the toilet or enough to use a pantyliner.
Tender breasts and aches in your lower stomach also indicate pregnancy - definately if you never suffer from any similar symptoms related to PMT.
As you are now 2 days late too - all the signs are there and indicating you are pregnant. I would take a test in the morning (the pregnancy hormone has a higher concentrate then)- I think it will be positive! Good luck, all the best x

I wouldn't wonder anymore I'd do a test but be aware that if you test too early you could get a false result of negative, even if it's the day after your period you pregnancy may be too immature to trigger the hormone that the test detects, consider the last time you had sex before you test yourself. I tested myself and it was negative, then again two days later and it was positive, when I was 12 days pregnant. Luckily for me I could work it out exactly as that was the last time my husband had been on day shift.

Are you on the pill? Sometimes the pill can make your period do some freaky s*** I learned from my doctor the other day, after I posted my question "should I be late" that after you first start the pill yur body will try to regulate itself out.
If you are not on the pill, I might wait another week?

I'd suggest you do a test if you think you may be pregnant. If you are it would be best to see your GP with regards to the discharge, it may just be spotting but you should also rule out any complications if you are pregnant, good luck x

If your period is really regular and you've already missed it a test would probably be accurate by now. If you really want to be sure wait an entire week before testing.

quit driving yourself nuts and pay for a pregnancy test or go to a clinic to have them do one for you. That way you know 100% rather than waiting through these answers. It won't change anything getting tested. You can actually fool yourself one way or the other without factual testing.

Your symptoms sure do sound like pregnancy. Just do a preg test so you don't have to sit and wonder for the next week. That will be a very long week if you don't find out.

If you are worried, take a test - they are very sensitive now. So much depends on what your normal period symptoms are and whether you have taken risks and when. If you don't normally get sore breasts, this can be an indicator and was always the first thing my wife noticed.

to me it sounds like implantation bleeding. if it's lighter than normal and around the same time as your period, then it could be. wait until the end of your expected period and test. fyi-blood tests aren't necessarily more accurate earlier-you should still wait to give the hormone levels time to grow. act prego just in case and cut any drinking and smoking and get some prenatals just in case!!

This happens to me, I'd give it a good 1-2 weeks before panicking. If you've been under any stress, it can really throw your cycle out.
