The governtment which is somewhat friendly to Isreal has very little power. Hamas basically took over and the elected govt has very little power to do anything about it Hamas wants to destroy Isreal as they said many times. So you have a country being held hsotage by a buch of murdering thugs supported by Iran who diffently wants Isreal gone and to do as much damage to the U.S. as they can. This hasb een said many times by the nut in Iran.

Still tense...because Hezbollah is gaining more power in Lebanon, and as far as Israel is concerned (and 2 other countries in the world) Hezbollah is a terrorist organization...
Unfortunately there have been some incidents caused by Israeli jets violating Lebanese airspace and one of those jets was fired at...United Nations say the flights violate a ceasefire agreement sanctioned by the UN Security Council...
I don't think we are going to see a better situation between the two countries...Lebanon already said that it is going to be the last Arab country to make peace with Israel and after the latest news, when Olmert said that the Lebanon strike was planned 4 months before the kidnapping of the soldiers, won't make thing better...

And 79vette Hamas has nothing to do with Lebanon, they are in the Palestinian government, not in the Lebanese government...

I quite have a unusual concept that I quite have not heard articulated someplace else. different than for condemning Israel for it is heavy-handedness (as I condemn Bush for our heavy-handedness in another country), i'm coing to project here. keep in mind that all of it began whilst first, a 19 3 hundred and sixty 5 days old soldier replaced into abducted? it is as though Hizballah has a plan - and that they even mentioned so, that Israel has a great marvel coming - and because Israel's reaction to the soldier wasn't adequate, Hizballah went in there and grabbed 2 extra, as though to intentionally galvanize, or seize, Israel into Lebanon. yet why? For the huge marvel? it is as though some youngster have been to circulate onto the college yeard and razz the older young ones, who supply chase, in basic terms to be lead right into a seize of quite huge young ones that then pummel them.

Lebanon is emboldened by what it sees as a victory in the war last summer, and they (along with Iran, Syria, and the Palestinian Authority) are arming to the teeth for another attack on the Jews
