Yes, sometimes the loneliest place could be in a roomful of people you know.

I’ve felt like that in many situations – like an outcast even though among friends. It could be that you don’t share enough in common with them? Try to find some common ground to discuss. If you are quiet and feel ignored, do something to make yourself important among the group & get noticed. Sometimes it only takes 1 simple thing … cook a delicious snack or make an awesome cocktail mix for the next party, host a white elephant x-mas gift exchange…something fun where everyone participates and notices that you made an effort to get involved. Also, be a good listener - pay attention to their likes & dislikes. People are always flattered when they know you care about things they have told you. This will help your friends become closer, instead of just being acquaintances.

Yes, quite often. I have been divorced nearly 2 years, and my 4 children and my career keep me too busy for a relationship. Sometimes I miss having a man beside me on the couch at night!

No. I only feel lonely when my husband is at work and the kids are in school.

Sure...because of my age and experience I've found that if you allow people to get too close to you ..it's courting danger. Your friends, the ones really close to you are the only ones with the true power to hurt you. I stay at arms length from any "friends".

Yes. sometimes I feel like they just include me to up the numbers and look cool. No one seems to listen to anything I have to say. I am NOT as obnoxious in real life as I am on here!
