It is true that every cigarette smoking reduces five minutes of your span of life & creates nicotine which can result cancers too. Your question is what differentiates science from religion. Here I'm with you that it is NOT ethical to still manufacture cigarettes. Many Indian states prohibited wine. Hopefully , one day the turn of cigarette will also come. Don't be disappointed. Be tension free & enjoy your life well. Do not forget to write about this to health ministry of your state with proper procedure & forget.

It is certainly unethical to promote things like cigarette, alcohol and such other things that spoil the habits of our people.It is the necessity of multinational countries to earn more revenue by hook or crook.When things are conducive to them it is better that we educate our people about the negative aspects of these things and other drugs. Wise and intelligent people are now keeping these things away from them but the poor and the illiterates are showing more affinity towards these things. Social organisations, governments and educational institutions can contribute a lot to get rid of this manace from our society.

Why cigarettes, what about adulterated food? nothing is ethical in the world of business.what about alchohol?. The point is, why do parents allow their children to start on these bad habits initially. If they make them strong, there won't be any problem.

Yes, I support the manufacturing of cigrette, not because of the seven lakh die of lung cancer, but the temporary relief a smoker gets from a few moments of smoking is far more greater than the permanent death. Since death is sure for everyone, it is useless to think of it or try to avoid it. it is always to early to die. but the misery of day to day life are more painfull than a one time death, cigrette releives a person temporary from the thought of death and destruction

I believe in freedom. As long as there is clear information about the effects of cigarettes people have the right to choose their own poison. I am in favor though of banning cigarettes in public spaces, I believe in freedom but I don't believe you can impose your habits in others

it is not ethical but stoping manufacturing is also not possible except educating.motivating every smoker to give up the bad habit and new not to swich on.
