Sounds like a french name to me, so I'd say France.

Albert Pujols was borned in Dominican Republic, in Santo Domingo city, in Cristo Rey neighborhood. He started playing baseball and at age 16 he went with his father to live in the US, to Kansas City.

Graduated in 1998 from Fort Osage High School in Independence, Earned a baseball scholarship to Maple Woods College in Kansas City. Signed by Cardinals scout Dave Karaff. Seated among dignitaries at the 2004 press conference to announce the naming of the new Busch Stadium

In 2003 he helped sponsor the inaugural St. Louis Down Syndrome Association Golf Benefit which continues as an event for his new foundation

He and his wife appeared in the 2002 Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue. On 2/20/04 Albert signed a seven-year contract extension, with a club option for an eighth year, that will allow him to remain a Redbird through at least 2010.

Albert and his wife Deidre welcomed daughter Sophia to the world on 11/5/05 and also have daughter Isabella and son A.J. Alberto, Jr...the family resides in St. Louis County.

He might be the best player in the game in this moment. Noone in baseball history hasr reached the numbers and stats he already has in the few years he' been playing professional.
