THAT India’s body politic is suffering from the cancer of corruption and black money is one clear message that emerges from the tehelka episode. It poses the question of whether the cancer can be removed before it proves fatal to India’s democracy. Can we stop the entry of criminals into politics while politicians rely on black money?

IT is good that our boardroom politicians have at last been forced to reach out to the people seeking their benign intervention. For so long they have been used to easy solutions like drawing room intrigues, cosy media management and TV showmanship for complicated political problems.

We KNOW that Indian politicians MUST be corrupt because of all the money India has received through international organizations but still things stay the same - can't drink the water, can't trust the food, the trains or the police, and still people dieing from poverty, after all the money that has been given to THAT country - where has it gone? Into the politicians' pockets!

Governments are governments and to be a part in any of them you must by definition be dishonest (compared to average morals and ethical standards) are you can not and will not be elected. The rules of the game is whoever is the highest bidder receives the vote. Those are simply the rules and under those rules there is no corruption just the way the game is played. Most people will sell their Souls or anything else they have for the right price. I personally find 99.9999999% of humanity are prostitutes in one way or another. India simply has a way of doing business which the majority of humanity calls 'corrupt' but then by my definition 'humanity' is corrupt so it is like the 'kettle calling the pot black'.

Corruption has taken over India long back from the days of Madam Indira Gandhi, who declared it is an universal phenomenon. Nothing moves in India without greasing some body's palm. Entire Nation is in the grip of corrupt Politician and bureaucrats. For instance Bofars pay off is celebrating 14 years of paper pushing, nothing has happened. You try to be honest in your dealings and find the truth.

You don't need 150 words to tell that Indian politicians are corrupt. It is an open secret that every single politician of India is corrupt irrespective of party. Since you asked for it let me start with the defacto PM of India Sonia Gandhi. Before marrying Rajiv Gandhi her family in Italy is not even a middle class family but a downtrodden family. But today her family is one among the richest families in Italy. Do you want an answer how she and her family became rich suddenly? Before joining politics the ex-Union Minister and the father in law of sitting Congress MP Lagadapati Raja Gopal Mr P.Upendra was just a steno in Railways working at Howrah. Today his assets are worth in few thousand crores. Do you want to know how he amassed such a wealth? The leader of Dalits Babu Jagjivan Ram has accumalated anormous wealth and his house in his native villege is a huge palace surrounded by all huts. How come only Jagjivan Ram became rich in that villege? Before becoming a Congress MLA and a Minister in T.Anjiah's Air Bus cabinet the ex-CM of Andhra Pradesh Chandra Babu Naidu's family assets are worth just few thousands. And today that few thousands turned into few thousand crores. What is the secret? The current CM of AP Dr Y S Rajashekar Reddy's family is a poor family before YSR joining politics and becoming MLA in 1978 and an education minister in the same Air Bus T.Anjiah's cabinet. Today YSR's family holds thousands of acres of land across the state and out side the state. His family's wealth is anybody's guess. You want us to believe that Dr Y S Rajashekar Reddy amassed this wealth from his medical practice, if yes how much income tax he paid for this anarmous wealth? It is not out of place to mention that YSR's father YS Raja Reddy emabrassed Christianity so that he can get hold of those foreign funds pumped into India to spread Christianity and thereby uplift his family from poverty. Before joining AIADMK Ms Jayalalitha is a small time film actress. But once she took the reigns from MGR sky is the limit for her wealth. In the late 80's she spent more than 500 crores to celebrate her alleged foster son's marriage. The whole Madras city was converted into a marriage venue. From where she got this money? From her film career then is there any Income Tax records endorsing this fact. Before joining politics what was Sharad Pawar's social status? Only an ordinary farmer. Now he is the richest man in entire country. More than 1,00,000 people attended his daughter's marriage. You just imagine how much money spent on that occassion? Can you tell me that Sharad Pawar included all those expenses in his Income Tax returns? I know you would say NO. Like these there are thousands of examples. I can write volumes and volumes narrating the story of every single politician of India. But who cares? The soul of Indians itself is corrupt. They want every thing by short cut methods and do not hesitate to bribe any body to get their job done. To get a driving licencse we Indians do not have time to take driving lessons and a road test. We want driving license in snap. For this we go agents to bribe the Road Transport Officer to get the license. Result the so called drivers cause accidents and risk lives of others. Even to cast their vote these days Indians are asking for gifts in cash or kind from the politicians. If the voters are reduced to such a level how can you expect some thing good from the politician who bought the votes and got elected. In the recent bye poll to Karimnagar Parliamentary seat every single party pumped crores and crores to buy the votes. Just because the TRC Candidate K Chandra Sekhar Rao had millions of dollars at his disposal through his foreign connections he won the battle. The same KCR is only a small time farmer before joining Telugu Desam Party and becoming MLA. But he hit the Bulls Eye when he got elected to Parliament in 2004 and became Union Labor Minister in the UPA Govt. Today his family is worth atleast few hundred crores. By just winning the bye poll he is terming it is a voice of Telangana people and demanding for a separate state. Do you want me to believe that he is demanding a separate state to uplift the downtrodden people of Telangana. Then you are totally mistaken. KCR wants to become the CM of Telangana state so that he can loot the Telangana people and become the richest man of the country if chances are there of the entire world beating Bill Gates. Just for the heck of it, you want to know which departments in India are the most corrupted? The Anti Corruption Bureau and Income Tax Deapartment. Have you ever heard of an Income Tax raid or an ACB raid on any politician's home? Mostly no but some times yes but on politicians belonging to opposition party. Why just to harrass the oposition parties. The same story repeats when the same opposition party comes to power. These departments are just puppets in the hands of party in power. The ACB and IT Department just raid an attender's house alleging that he holds assets disproportionate to his source of income. You give me just one example where in ACB or IT Department raiding any polician's house with the same reasoning? So please don't talk about corruption in India and Indian politicians. Even GOD also can't change India.
