Everything we hear is about improving the lives of everyone except men. Men in other countries may have it better, but here it seems like everyone is out to belittle and undermind men. A man isn't treated like a man anymore, and it's politically incorrect for a man to be treated like a man. We all need different things, men and women. The women fight for what they want, and everyone helps them get what they want. But what about men, we need different things than women, and we don't get it, and if we fight about it we're either pigs or male chauvinists or worse. My girlfriend wants to be treated like a princess. I expect to be treated like a king in return, but it seems like all girls now-a-days want to be treated like a princess and spoiled, but don't want to reciprocate. It makes a balance if they do though, spoil your man, feed his ego, treat him damn well, and have him do the same to you.

I LOVE my girlfriend to walk up when I'm with my guys and take my plate or get me something to drink so I don't have to get up, and I'd do the same for her in front of her friends, I do that stuff, her friends know I do all kinds of sweet things for her, but when she does stuff for me they're like "Uh, your not his slave girl, you shouldn't be doing that!" or if they saw her doing my laundry they would have a **** fit (not that she does my laundry much), but they don't complain when I buy her ncie things, or take her on nice vacations, or rub her back for her, or make sure she has everything she needs and most of what she wants. I'll cook nice dinners for her, or all kinds of stuff. There needs to be a balance, and it doesn't mean 50/50 housework, which is what almost all women say these days "I won't do it all, I'll do HALF!" but then are you going to take turns moving the lawn, or shoveling the snow from the driveway, or pay for half of all the bills, pay for half the dinners..

, pay for half the movies, half the mortgage etc? (you get the idea).... Anyway, I'm just in a bad mood I guess, not enough sleep... and I'm tired after cleaning the house, doing the laundry and getting my 4 kids up and ready to take the older 2 to school and the other 2 to daycare..

maybe I mis-spoke. My girlfriend DOES treat me good, I'm just talking about other girlfriends and women in general now-a-days, she doesn't listen to her friends when they tell her that stuff, and I don't EXPECT things from her, but it's nice to be with a girl that knows that understands a balance. Sometimes I do more, sometime sshe does, but we're not counting, it's all good. But my past girlfriends, and especially my ex-wife. (she left me and my 4 kids). She just wanted to be treated like a princess and be waited on and didn't want to do anything in return except spend my money.

First let me start by saying that you sound like a great guy to have around. Now the truth, maybe not you, but men in general have gotten so lazy that honestly most of us women are tired of dealing with them. We have had to start providing for ourselves, doing everything on our own. And yes, I will admit that after doing this we do get the attitude of who needs men. (Not me though, lol) Is it fair, no, will it change, probably not. I know some women are worse then others, so are some men. You sound like a great catch, you take care of the woman you have and that is very rare to find now. Personally, if I know that what I do is appreciated, I have no problem doing it and more. As for getting someone something to eat, drink, etc. to me that shows caring, just common respect, it has nothing to do with being a slave, if its been ordered, now that is totaly different. House cleaning is another good point, in some things it should be equal if the woman is working full time too. If not, I feel it is her "Job" to keep the place clean, but that doesn't give the man the right to be a slob either. Anyway, hope you feel better after venting, and just keep treating her with respect, she might start to come around to your way of thinking soon.

You are more than tired. You are living in a dream world of false expectations! Consider this: if you are doing whatever you do for another person with the expectation that they now owe you some kind of behavior in return, then you are probably wasting your time and effort. Do what you feel you want for others because you want to do it. They owe you nothing in return. Some will feel they do, some won't. Many will reciprocate, some won't.
If your inner conditions require a quid pro quo from your girlfriend and you don't get it, then you either need to change your conditions or change your girlfriend.
If your rules for personal interaction don't match or are in conflict with your girlfriend's (or with anyone else, for that matter) you will need to reevaluate your rules, or they theirs. You can change your rules. After all, you made them and are in charge of them. You can't change the other person's rules. Only they can.

You have a strange circle of friends if that is the case. Perhaps you and your girlfriend can work on making better choices in that area. You need friends that are mutually supportive with regard to your relationship. You own half of the problem if you put yourself back in a situation where those small minded individuals can belittle you.

I think the "attack on men" that your talking about is related to the thought that "this is a man's world". When in reality, it's everyone's world. Granted, we all have to fight to make it in this world, but everyone has a chance. It's everyone's feeling to want to be "babied" every once in a while. I'm a female, and I do not absolutely agree with what your girlfriend is doing. I think that if she loves you enough, she will think about your comfort, just as you think about hers.

It sucks to be you.....LOL, chin up man! Just have a short talk with her and tell her how much you love her....Then grab her by the ankles, and drive her home, like a wheelbarrow with a flat tire! Heck make 4 more kids!, you'll have no time to do house work, as you'll be working 80 hrs. a week to support them all.
