Well, if I knew the answer to that then I could be a very wealthy man. But, all joking aside, the best team (on paper) is 100percent the Red Sox. Yankees, Cubs, Twins, White Sox are all close behind. However, like the cubs have proven time and again, being good on paper doesn't always translate to the season. Many a year (esp 2003) the cubs have had great teams, only to fail when it counts. 2003 cub rotation: Matt Clement, Mark Prior, Kerry Wood, Carlos Zambrano and Shawn Estes. All of those pitchers (except Estes) were/are considered #1-2 starters. They have been unable to live up to there potential (except Zambrano and Prior/when healthy). So, all in all, on paper is nice, but on the field is where it counts.

I think it will be a replay of 1934 & 1935. My beloved Tigers lost the '34 Series to the Cards (featuring the infamous incident in which the Commissioner forced St. Louis to pull Ducky Medwick for his own safety after Detroit fans pelted him with bottles, rocks, etc...), and then beat the Cubbies to win their first World Championship the next year.

Let's hope history truly DOES repeat itself! :-)

1935, 1945, 1968, 1984...and 2007?

Being from Cleveland, I hear a lot Cleveland talk. I'll save you what little suspense that builds...ain't gonna happen. When you're in a division with the White Sox, Twins and the Tigers...best of luck. And also...it is Cleveland after all!

While the Cubs have improved vastly, I'll have to go with the Red Sox, although it will be interesting!

Whoever wins the AL Central will win it all this year. Probably the Twins or Tigers.

Drunkvader I like your thinking....Cubs will never win it again. Even though I want the Cardinals to repeat I don't think they have the starting pitching. It will probably be the Red Sox.
