Why are conservatives so negative about America?

Conservatives, neoconservatives, republicans are so negative about America. We are the greatest civilization ever created, we are the economic envy of the world, educate our children, have prestigous universities and scientific centers, have a free media, and enjoy a prosperous life our founding fathers could hardly have imagined. Liberals have adopted humaine social services giving our country decency in how we treat others. In fact, ALL liberal ideals that have been adopted, have been adopted by the democratic party. Disaster did not strike, we did not lose our competitive edge, and, America grew stronger. So, what country do you live in, that the liberals have ruined. Not my country, not America, I live in a free and just place, that liberals have enhanced, to ALL of our benefit!

To be fair, I will say that its not republicans or conservatives destroying the structure of the United States. However, it is the neo-conservatives, or, the new conservative nationalist movement.

These people believe in American supremacy over the entire world in all aspects.

It is no surprise, that almost every single person involved with this organization, is now a member or was a member of the Bush White House.

The "administration" is very quick, most specifically Donald Rumesfeld, to point the finger at people who disagree with policy as Nazi appeasers. This should really offend people and I don't understand why it doesn't.

Maybe one day, all of these, sheep, will wake up and see that these guys are not the peaceful folks they portray themselves as. They are not fighting "terror." They are fighting the world, and most certainly, the American people.

Gee, I really get tired of explaining this. The problem with the so called "Liberal humaine social services" is that no matter how much you like them or how much you think they help people, they are not the job of the Federal Government. When the Federal Government takes money out of your paycheck to redistribute it to someone else for whatever reason it is wrong.

No matter how much you are in love with the idea of taxing people to use the money for social welfare programs you are in violation of the Constitution. The Federal government is forbidden from doing these things by the Constitution. States can do them, individuals can do them but not the Federal Government.

Those "humaine social services" have nearly destroyed the urban black families by making the fathers irrelevant. Liberals have done a lot of damage with their well meaning programs. They just cannot get it through their heads that if you want to discourage an activity you tax it. If you want to encourage an activity you subsidize it.

Subsidizing single motherhood has caused a disaster in the lives of the resulting children. It has removed all incentive for the mother to find a husband. I has removed all incentive for the mother to find a job.

Johnson's war on poverty has cost nearly hundreds of billions of dollars but there are still the same amount of poor people.

Don't even get me started on the damage the Department of Education has done. There was no department of Education before Carter created it. Before it existed we had one of the best school systems in the world. Now it sucks and costs far more than it used to.

The Department of Environmental Protection that was started under Nixion ( yes, Nixon was a social liberal) now has become judge, jury and executioner. If they accuse you of a violation of rules that they make themselves (not the legislature) they can literally destroy you. Even people who have done nothing wrong are financially ruined defending themselves.

The Department of Defense one of the only ones the Constitution requires, the liberals want to defund.

Liberals have created all kinds of unconstitutional social services that have done as much harm as good.

You do not realize that the Federal Government should not be involved in much at all. Other than defense, interstate commerce and federal law most of what these wasteful bureauracies do is unconstitutional. Social services are the job of the individual states.

We are not negative about America. We are positive about what the Constitution says. This is supposed to be the land of the free and the home of the brave. Not the land of the taxed and the home of he recipiant.

I'm not negative, at all. As a matter of fact, I've stated many times that this country is the greatest in the world BECAUSE we have liberals and conservatives who can have open discourse.

We keep each other in check. If one side or the other were to dominate, THEN we would be in trouble.

What we're doing is not a bad thing as long as both sides act responsibly.

They THINK they are being positive. However, good intentions only get you so far. Not to mention, that many conservative tactics are selfish from the start. I think they are simply taught this stuff from birth and are fearful to even consider an alternative. All I see coming from them is negativity towards liberals and middle eastern people. Maybe they are taught to hate just so that they are constantly fearful and therefore compliant. If they took the time to get to know other cultures and people with different political views, rather than immediately dismissing them, maybe they could learn to be a little more tolerant and positive.

The conservatives sure do enjoy all of the perks the progressive Liberals have created through arts and literature through mechanics and technology. They wouldn't have anything if the Liberals weren't willing to share for the betterment of America. Selfishness always takes the side of the right wing positions. Conservatives are negative about America? Where did you glean this from?
I suggest you read or listen to ANY speech from Ronald Reagan to know what most conservatives feel about America.
His description of America being the "Shining city on the hill" is hardly negative.
We are negative about people who try to deface our country by making us the reason for pretty much any ill. Take John Kerry, for instance, who called America an "international Pariah" or said that our soldiers are "terrorizing people in the dead of night" or who went to France to negotiate defeat in Vietnam.
Please give an example of a leading conservative voice making such a statement, and back up your assertion, please.
