why when woman have sex with a few men they get called slags tarts etc and when men do it they get called studs

Yeah, tell me about it. That question has been on my mind loads of times, but I guess some things are just better left unsaid or unanswered...there is no real answer to your question. That's just the way it's gonna be. It's the way people are meant to believe since the stone age...this is a theory that will never change no matter how hard we as women try. Women will always be the weaker sex in all men's eyes. They think women can't drive, that we are meant to do the house cores, that we are just good to basically sit at home and look after the kids, but they've got it all wrong!!

Because of the way society historically has viewed sex and the reason for it.
In history, a man wouldn't marry a women if she wasn't a virgin, yet it was acceptable for them to sow their oats before marriage because 'men have needs'
But as society has moved on & women are becoming more equal and sex is considered an act of pleasure rather than one of possession, general society still looks at a horny women as being wrong.
If you read the Da Vinci Code it gives good insight to one view which is that the women is closer to God than men and that the closest a man can ever get to God is when having an orgasm inside a woman. Sex was therefore considered a religious and sacred ceremony. The women is considered the powerful, knowledgable, instinctive sex & through history (BC) the woman has been the healer, the bearer of life etc & it was only when the bible was written & editted that the woman was portrayed as the weaker sex to remove their power.

Often wondered about that my self, as long as the lady,s are clean whats the problem. I don,t think it,s the fact that they have sex with lots of men, i think it,s more to do with the way they behave . e.g. say a famous female is known to have lots of sex with men, then because she is rich and famous, no-one takes offence about it. But say she,s just the girl in the street that go,s out gets drunk and shag,s with any man available every weekend or night, then she is named a slag. So behaviour has a lot to do with girls getting that name. If the same girl was discreet in her private life then no-one would be the wiser, and a lot of happy guys around. Me for one.

The funny thing about this is the men can't be "studs" w/o the help of a few of those so called "slags"!! Am I the only one who finds that funny?!?!

Because it is a socially constructed idea that men should sow their wild oats and women should save themselves for marriage. Even though equality has affected this and women are more free with their sexual selves this idea is still part of life. Men in particular stick with this line of thinking so that they can try to keep females suboardinate, while they have their cake and eat it!

Because that it a double standard,men don't want women to be better at anything than they are,and they know that a woman could have sex more than a man,because you can always find a willing man but not always find a willing woman.

It's so that men can get away with it and not feel any guilt, where as it's not socially acceptable for a woman to enjoy sex with multiple partners.

because biologically, what is the point? a woman can only get pregnant once every 9 months to a year, so it doesn't do them any good to sleep around. A man who sleeps around can get multiple women pregnant, so there is a biological reason and drive for them to do that. They were wired that way by mother nature for the propogation of the species. I used to hate them for it too till I realized that they are all like that and there is actually a reason for it.

Its one rule for men and another for women. Most blokes still live in the dark ages and think that any woman hes with should be 'pure and untouched'. What a load of sh!t

I know, it's really sexist. I get a little bit of stick 'cos the man I'm seeing is gong through a divorce, I get snide comments like you should wait, but divorce can take years, so why wait??? I might be dead by then, besides...love him. xxx
