well the only way the indian team can win the world cup is by complete team work,unity and trust in each other and i think that both ganguly and dravid are evenly matched and thus they should not be compared. since the pitches are slow in the west indies therefore i think india's legendary and famous and very experienced duo of sachin and ganguly should open the innings.

My answer to your question. Sourav Ganguly is a stroke maker who makes runs. Rahul Dravid is a Wall a defensive player. Both of them go parallell. Sourav Ganguly is a match winner and run saver and Rahul Dravid is a match saver from falling wickets on one side. Both Dravid and Ganguly are totally different and both are good players in the cricket game.
It is the job of selectors. If I am the selector, I would not have selected any of the present Indian cricket team players. When lots of better options are available why select the same players again and again. Wait!!! After the Bangladesh defeat now almost all players will play against Burmuda superbly. Indians will definitely win against Burmuda. Burmuda triangle cannot do anything that will stop from Indian victory against Burmuda cricket team.

India can win the world cup if they change the coach. Dravid, no doubt is a better batsman but Ganguly is anytime better captain than dravid. The brightest Idea is to throw Sehwag out of the team.

Is there anyway to win a cricket match by cheating, bribing, dadagiri, Bhaigiri etc? Indians are good at this sort of things, atleast better than they are at playing cricket.
How else can you explain the fact that out of 1.1 billion people, or 1/6th the earths population we have to depend on sorry old, tired men like Ganguly, Dravid and their ilk, whereas a small respectable country like bangladesh has 17 and 18 year old school boys whipping and Kicking our so called veterans?

Don't' ask who is best. ? Both are very good and do not have any comparison with each other.They had their own well styles. Our batting order is very strong but fielding and some how extent bowling are not upto the mark. Missing of player like Kaif is dragging Indian team into some trouble. But the Captaincy of Dravid which is much matured will definetly come into use and certainly India will lift the World Cup 2007. I wish all success.

Dravid is undoubtedly THE BEST player in our team but i think our team was more stronger under the captaincy of Ganguly though he doesn't used to play well, the reasons may be he is lucky or really has the talent to maintain the team spirit or both, but Ganguly was defenitely better

India can win the world cup only if the players playo their potential consistently with proper application, dedication, determination and fighting spirit.
I consider Dravid better than Ganguly as he is more consistent.

By playing to their full potential and by believing in themselves. To the 2nd part of the ques - u should hav no doubt - it is certainly Rahul Dravid. Under Rahul's matured and intelligent captaincy we will surely win the world cup.
