I really don't understand it. Last year, I knew people picking them to get all the way to the Sweet 16, and this year, I'm seeing some of the same things!

As far as I know, they've never done anything in the NCAA Tourney to begin with.

So why does everyone pick them as an upset?

A 3 point loss at Wisconsin (2 seed)
A 7 point loss at UNC (1 seed)
A win At Old Dominon (12 seed)
A win at Mississippi State (SEC West Winner and NIT tean)

I think that is the resume combined with Micheal Jenkins who is hitting 42% from 3.

Winthrop has won 18 games in a row. Granted none of the teams they beat are ranked, but they played three ranked teams earlier in the season and even though they lost all three they played UNC (good potential to win it all) and Wisconsin very close. The only bad loss they had all year was to Texas A&M who many pick to make the final four (myself included).

If they manage to beat Notre Dame, then could then match up against Oregon who I think is the weakest three seed of the tournament and possibly Wisconsin after that who I think is the weakest 2 seed.

I think a great game would be if Georgia Tech also manages to upset UNLV and then Wisconson to make it to the third round with Winthrop.

Florida wont make it to the appropriate 4. ohio st. might no longer the two. Texas might desire to disillusioned some communities yet they won't bypass each and every of how reason it rather is a one guy team, those forms of communities cant make it. Texas A&M additionally has some ability upsets. yet evr1 kno's that the Kansas Jayhawks will take the championship. o and xavier will win.

They have momentum coming in. 18 games won in a row. They feel good about themselves and confident and they should be they are a pretty good team.
