Sometimes I get the feeling my friend likes me, but I keep telling myself it's not possible. Whenever he sees me he smiles - a proper, face-lighting-up smile. He sometimes smiles at me across the room for no particular reason. When we're walking somewhere he walks really close to me, but I might be imagining that. He'll often sit next to me, either when we're at friends' houses or at church (where I know him from). Recently he's started apologising if he doesn't sit with me - saying things like 'I've just got to go and talk to ...' when I'd made no mention of him sitting with me. I talk to him a lot, and sometimes he asks me questions like when my birthday is. He tells me a lot about himself and his family, and has confided in me when he's had problems with one of his friends. He'll always talk to me when he sees me, and sometimes I get the impression he's trying to be close to me or coming to things because he knows I'll be there. He's shy so it's hard to tell what he's thinking.

being a guy myself, i can assure u that he has a crush on u. Yeah I remember those day, the initial feelings towards the other sex. And how he states his obligations to u, he's letting u know that he does not mean any harm. Ur wants and needs are still a mystery to him so to make up for his unawares he acts with apologies and excuses himself if he's wrong u. Girl if u feel the same way i think u might have urself a boyfriend.

Sounds like you are very good friends. Some time when the mood between you is lighthearted & fun, just catch him off guard & ask him what he feels the relationship is between the two of you & where he wants it to go.

he likes you and is afraid to tell you so he is trying to keep his distance you should talk to him about this i believe if he tells you how he feels he maybe afraid that you may not like him or feel differently about him
