I have had problems getting along with my girlfriends in the past. Especially now that their ex.’s. But this one friend who I have known and talked for about three weeks… me and her along perfectly well… we make each other laugh, we think about each other, talk about personal things. We talk on the phone everyday without getting mad, arguments or fighting. We generally have things to say. Are we compatible? Maybe some people are easier to get along with then others?

You can't be seriously asking if having had a failed relationship or two in the past all of your relationships are going to fail.

You also surely are not suggesting that after a whole three weeks of being in a "relationship" with a new person that you have decided that she is "the one" you have been waiting for.

Perhaps the reason your past relationships failed is because you want all the answers about how things will work out at the front of a relationship.

Here's a thought for you. All relationships .... yes 100 per cent of them ... end in PAIN. Someone either moves on or dies and at least one of the parties is in pain. Is the person that you are starting a relationship with worth the pain that comes at the end of a relationship.

Of course, some people are easier to get along with than others ... there are those people in the world that will care enough about you to overlook your most glaring character defects and still care about you.

It's a little too soon to say if you two are compatible, but it seems to being in that direction. Get to know each other better first. Find out each others likes and dislikes before actually becoming a couple. It's better to become friends first and have a steady friendship than it is to rush into a relationship. I know this from experience. I rushed into a couple of relationships and now neither of us are speaking to each other. Best of luck to you.

The friendship is still new, so give it some time.

Perhaps you're both just excited about the fact you have a new friend. If that's not the case, then yeah, sure...you can go for the relationship.
