frankly speaking,the lines on our hand are not made not birth
the thing is that when we fold our hands,these lines are created as a result of folding.
imagine a paper,fold it and again unfold it.you would be able to see the line of fold.in the similar fashion,these lines are created on our palm
their purpose is just providing extra friction when we hold something so that we can have a better grip. but the skin folds along these foldlines when we cluth our fist.

Lines on our palms serve the same biological function as fingerprints - friction to improve grip and ability to hold onto things.

Of course, the lines on our palms tell us who we are going to marry, and how long we will live. Some can even tell us if there's a good TV show on tonight... ;)

It is not widely known yet humans carry this mark as a genetic sign since the last Universal drought. (This was before any of these contemporary gods had come into being)

Nah...didn't have to think much about it....I know the lines on my palms are there for fortune tellers to read and lie about my future and past....(then I have to pay for the priviledge)!!....

They are a part of our identity just like finger prints.

identitiy purposes--each person's fingerprint is unique
for holding/ grasping things, without fingerprints things that we hold will easily slip
