In 2004:
56% of college graduates were women.
44% of college graduates were men.
Based on the current trend, by 2010, it will be about a 58/42 women to men ratio.
Based on the current trend, by 2020, it will be about a 70/30 women to men ratio.
It is very good that women are becoming well educated and qualified to earn a good living since their adult sons will be living with them longer than in past generations.

In some ways alot. Bicuse it has change some views but i hate when those dumb rich women talk about feminism and they don't know the meaning of the word. On exemple on one show here in Serbia woman sayed that if women would be in goverment there will be less violence and war. But that history
proofed oposite. Womens with power become more agressive then man. On exemple Bloody Merry and some more but I can't remember names. Feminism is good in hands of smart strong individuals and it should not be used as an excuse or something.

Having been young in the era...we have made great strides. We have closed most gaps between men and women. A married woman can get credit on her own. Women are the leaders in start up small businesses. Women are making it into the Board Rooms also. Where we have lagged is politically and I think that will be corrected by the end of the decade; when we will see more equal representation. (As well as a possible Woman President0
To me because it left a scar on my Psyche was sexual harassment on the job. Before the Women's Movement women had no recourse. You had to face the constant harressement or lose your job. I had a couple of pigs for bosses and I was told to put up with it or leave. Believe me this was one of the biggest reforms that came about. Companies now rouitinely instruct thier personnel on proper behavior. Hey nothing wrong with a flirtation at work but harressement is when you feel dirty about it.

There are lots of different kinds of feminism.
Overall, it's helped women gain independence, which is good. But I don't think it's really given any power to womanhood. A lot of it just encourages women to be like men, which seems like it should really be the opposite of feminism. You can make a woman a CEO, but you're never going to stop people from making jokes about her having sand in the vagina or whatever. In fact the jokes probably increase with the number of women who come to "power" in the traditional sense of the word. Humanity always has a way of cancelling itself out. The more women police officers we have, the more girls gone wild we get flashing their **** in the backlash.

I do not think that feminism has anything to do with equality, they are different things completely. Equality is about getting a fair crack of the whip and feminism is about destroying patriarchy and setting up a matriarchal social system. By that they mean that they hate men and all they stand for. I will have nothing to do with minds that hate, evil women.

on a scale of 1 to ten , I have to say 8 . comparing what women used to go through in the past decades and what women are accoplishing now and being looked at , I think its a huuuuuuge improvement . women now can work and do whatever they want , but the problem is when applying to a job a man will always have an advantage over a woman by simply having a penis .
there is still work to be done though especially in getting men to actually beleive that we can be as good as them if not better .

The suffragettes helped women in the UK get the right to vote. However, the main turn around in the perception of women came about during the war during which, due to the shortage of male manual workers, women took on many of the traditionally male working roles. This led to a more open minded view of women's role in British society.

Very successful I think, but despite being a woman who believes in equality, I'm tempted to say it hasn't done society much good. I'm sorry, but that's becoming more apparent.
Edit: Re Wimbledon, watch the tennis and you'll see that women play PROPER tennis, they don't win with just Ace after boring Ace!

I really don't know on this one. Education has played a huge part and I have never felt unequal but feminism is sometimes more concerned with hating men and forgets that we are actually two different animals.........
