Am I to assume you are the one who gave her the black eye? Well if that is the case, the police should have been called and you should have been arrested. So now you feel bad and want to cover up her black eye? How sweet of you, aren't you so kind to want to coverup what happened. If I went to that charity dinner, If you did this, I would wear nothing, and show what a real wife beater you are and let them see what you did. If you didn't do it, which I doubt, then a cover up concealer will do with dark sunglasses. How you even have the nerve to ask people, is beyond me. If you did give your wife this black eye, you should go for anger management therapy and get down on your knees and ask forgiveness to her and tell her you will never hurt her again.

Maybe you have a charity dinner, but she doesn't.
If you are beeing a prankster you are not funny.
If you are being an abuser then you need to go and get help.
You do not deserve to have anyone go with you to an function let alone a charity function.
I wouldn't go if I were her and I would pick up the phone and call the police on you.....and have you charged.

try a concelear stick from the local makeup counter/store that has a yellow base to it---the yellow will help cover the purple, blue and redness from the black eye (a creamy thicker concealer stick would be best)
i would also put a cold compress on the eye to help with any swelling that might be there
once she puts the concealer on have her set it with a fine powder that is the shade of her skin---this will help set the makeup and keep it from running if she were to sweat or rub the area

I know maybe you should let her spit on your face, rub in some grotty dirt mixed with super glue and stick an 'I'M A F*KING WANKER* sign to forehead ... it'll clear up any misconceptions about yourself at the charity dinner. And I'm sure your wife would feel much better.

Pathetic excuse for a human being charity begins at home seeng to it that your wife is cared for and does not get black eyes is your primary responsibility.

Dude, how'd she get it? Hopefully not from your hand. That's not manly at all.
If she got it from "falling." She's the expert with make up, she'll be able to cover it. You will have some explaining to do, you do know that?
If her black eye is not from "falling," then I would encourage you to seek help to avoid her ever getting another (or worse).

Try jumping off of a very high cliff. that should eradicate the cause of the black eye and she'll have no more problems.

Try tinted glass , not black sunglasses but just fancy tinted eye glasses
