i've heard some really nice songs, but to know the greatest song in the world you have to hear all the songs in the world from different languges and genres.

If you go by the most rerecorded (covered) song in history, it's Yesterday by the Beatles off their Rubber Soul album. No other song has been done by more artists before or since its release in the mid 60s.

If you want my personal favorite, it's Faithfully by Journey.
