The impending fate of the elephants seems to mirror the impending fate of the Republican Party.

As long as there is a demand for ivory, simple human greed will insure the eventual demise of elephants. Simple human greed made sure that the Passenger Pigeon, once the most common bird in the USA, became extinct. Although the total population of Passenger Pigeons in what later became the USA was estimated at 5 billion birds when Europeans first came to North America, the LAST Passenger Pigeon, named Martha, died at the Cincinnati zoo on September 1, 1914. It was, no doubt, a Republican who said, "Poppycock! There will ALWAYS be Passenger Pigeons!!!"

America as we know is headed for extinction. Our whole government seems to have lost its mind, and the media and entertainment industry has gotten crazy too. We are sliding down the slippery slope into an abyss of anarchy and immorality at breakneck speed. I fear for the world my grandchildren will have to live in. God help us all when the crisis matures!

that's plausible, yet i imagine that's frequently because of failure of GW. Now each of the Dems who declare to no longer be racist have lumped all Republicans into one type which itself is racist. i imagine Obama has a sturdy chance to be a 2 time period president and in my view the in undemanding words GOP candidate i love is Ron Paul. It truly relies upon on performance inspite of the actuality that, oftentimes at the same time as a Republican president is elected that's because the Democrat president earlier him wasn't believed to have finished a sturdy job. Seeing as how there have been frequently Democrats considering that FDR inspite of the actuality that I see why you may make this end. i actually do not see a lot distinction inspite of the actuality that, both are frequently unable to do the great things they want to because they can't get votes and that is a really vast problem specifically situations.

Both sides of the political aisle are facing a crisis. They have both become parties more concerned about maintaining their power base than doing what is right for the country. The Dems have been taken over by the radical Left and have become the party of panderers who say, "I could do it better...just don't ask me how." The GOP has abandoned its conservative ideals, i.e., smaller government, less spending, protect our borders. If ever there was a time for a third party...it's right now.

Actually check your facts, the elephant is not headed toward extinction. I guess you must be the product of the public education system.
The Reps have stumbled, but only because they started acting like Democrats, and spending money like drunken sailors. This is not acceptable to the Rep base, and so they lost. The Democrats can rely on a pretty much clueless votership, who vote for them for reasons they can rarely relate.

Republicans just ask for more from their leadership. Democrats just have to blame everyone but themselves and be elected.

Not at all, this is a natural part of the politics of the USA. I seem to recall just a couple of years ago when the same question was asked but instead of Republican it had Democrat.

People like you are the reason Bush was elected twice. You underestimated him. Elephants are not on the verge of extinction. They abound in Asia and are protected in many areas of Africa.

elephants have been around forever and they aren't going into extinction. And, more importantly, the same bright future is in store for the GOP!

The republican party is stronger than ever, it is just in a transitional phase. I know liberal elites like you who hate Christians and GW will hope for the end, but at least we stand for something

I do not think so. Before Clinton, people were saying the same about the Democratic Party.
