On your lap, not over your bump. There was a news review on a woman a whie ago who was pregnant. She was sat in the passenger seat, at the time of a car accident. Luckily she wore the bealt under her bump, on her lap. It did cut into her, but low down, under the child. If she had wore it above, it would have cut across and down and could have damaged the unborn child. Think safe! Wear a belt - Wear it right!

The bottom strap of the seat belt should be across your lap. Any other way and it is not safe especially if you get into an accident.
It is never okay to not wear a seat belt. What your friend told you is not true. There may be exceptions to some rules, but seat belts are a law and not able to be bent or broken.

ALWAYS WEAR YOUR SEATBELT! You wear the lap belt part underneath your belly. The seatbelt is there to protect you. The police officer is going to give you a ticket regardless of whether you're pregnant or not(my uncle is a police officer). My doctor told me to wear the seatbelt underneath the belly. Good Luck!

there is a gadget you can buy and it changes the position of the seatbelt so it sits comfortably across your lap. NEVER PUT IT ACROSS YOUR BUMP.. have a look on eBay.
