Black mollies breed with one male and a female. The male actually implants the female and she can have up to 5 sets of babies from only one breeding. from 1-25 babies.

No the mollie is not in the gold fish family, but can be kept with gold fish. Mollies are hearty and really do not require a heater, although can be kept in heated tanks. They can also survive and do well in brackish and full salt water tanks (That is where I have mine) Gold fish are cold water fish and should not have a heater.

Black mollies are tropical,freshwater.live-bearing fish. Goldfish are coldwater, freshwater egg-laying fish and not related in any way.
Mollies breed when very young;the male inserts his organ into the opening in the female and impregnates her. The babies develop in the abdomen of the female and are born live. Every 5 or so weeks she can give birth again ,about 4 or 5 times from the same fertilization.

Black Mollies breed and they are livebears. What this means is that when the female has the yearlings they are alive and small so they can hide. If there are gold fish in the tank they will eat the new born. I would put the gold fish in another tank. That way you can still have both, oh the gold fish are egg layers.

Many livebearers are tankbred and readily available. Rare species and wild caught species, however, are usually only available through aquarists' societies such as the American Livebearers Association.
