The topping for this pizza includes caviar, lobsters and cheese. What do you think of this outrageous shambolic idea when this is meant to be takeaway food?(I know this is in a restaurant. But i could'nt imagine the most wealthiest english folk would spend that much on a pizza!

It is a symbol of selfishness and a lack of awarenes of global social injustice. Americans help cause the poverty that is at the heart of most of social problems because they feel free to spend excessive amounts of money on frivolities.

Those who view such purchases as acceptable have low self-esteem and are seeking social status. This status isn't based on who they are but rather what they buy so it isn't real. That's why its so easy to convince them to keep buying stuff they don't need.

Its a case of "Don't look at me, look at my car, or my clothes or my house" That way noone discovers that they are a sham as a person.

If it was a really nice Pizza I'd spend a lot of money on it - and Pizza isn't a 'takeaway food' in my book.

However, I don't like caviar and lobster together so I won't be having a slice of this pizza....

Yes, here in N.Y. exorbitance is very common. the average person, even one with a reasonable amount of money does not eat like that. There is even a place here in NYC that charges $1000 for a hamburger an $1000 for a omelet breakfast.. In this world don't let too many things surprise you.

I'm in America (not too far from NYC, in fact) and I think it's totally asinine. There are too many hungry kids in this country for anyone to shell out $1000 for a pizza. It's a shame on all of us that someone would do so.

I wouldn't buy it. I like plain pizzas anyways, with tomato sauce, cheese, and "regular-normal" toppings. Lobster and caviar with cheese? Sounds gross.

As long as they don't use trans-fats, but it sounds like an awful combination to me.

But so what - maybe someone's got a G note to burn.
