Here is a site for you to check out. I have an IUD and don't have periods anymore because of it. I'm guessing you are young and haven't had children yet so that isn't an option for you.

The only methods besides those mentioned by the first answer would be dangerous and possibly life-threatening. So I'm not going to recommend or even mention them. But they have a birth control pill called Seasonale that limits your periods to only about 4 times per year. Anyone should be able to deal with that! The Yasmin birth control also tends to lessen the severity of each menstrual period.
There used to be Norplant, a bionic-y implant of little silicone tubes that release birth control medication into your bloodstream over a period of 3 to 5 years. Apart from some strange periods and spotting at the start, you don't get your period during that time, either. But some women report problems conceiving after taking it. I know someone who had Norplant years ago and now has a baby girl, though, so that's not the case with everyone. At any rate, it was discontinued and isn't available in the US.
IUDs can lessen menstrual blood flow (they can also increase it) and IUSs can lessen or even stop it in some cases (only 1 in 5 women will stop having periods). My friend has an IUS and still gets her period regularly, though it's a bit lighter.
But do you use tampons? If not, you should start. You don't feel them at all, so your period is like an afterthought. If you're concerned about sex, the person you're with should be mature enough to recognize that a woman has a period, but if it bothers you, there is a menstrual device called Instead that you can leave in while having sex. I've never tried it personally, but I've read that it works fine but can be slightly messy when removing.

There is no way to completely stop having them.
With pregnancy, its stops for about nine months.
With depo shot, you can still have your period, or breakthrough bleeding (not to mention the nasty side affects).
With pills, you should get them every 28 days, though Seasonale makes it so you only have four periods a year.
I think the only way is removing your uterus?
Its natural for women to menstruate. To stop that would not be natural. You need to menstruate.

To stop having periods
(1) Get pregnant, no periods for nine months
(2) Nurse the baby, no periods while the baby is nursing exclusively
(3) Have your uterus removed, expensive and painful
(4) Rejoice in the fact that you are a woman-we hold the mysteries of life and death right inside our own bodies
In short, you can't completely stop having periods.

You might want to rethink that......although having our period is suck a pain every forsaken month it is also a way for you robdy to cleanse and if you do not get that cleansing then a lot of things internally can go wrong for you. I hate it just like everyone else but I enjoy the fact that I am being cleansed every month and it makes me feel better. Not having your period can lead to cancer, and other serious health issues. Just deal with it. It is natural and sucks but we are woman.
