That's the most ludicrous idea I've heard. I remember the Yanks tried to impose this one on FIFA a few years back, along with the four quarters as opposed to two halves. Thankfully FIFA told them where to go. But if it is now being considered, then it spells disaster for the game. The authorities have to realise that they can't meddle with a tried and tested formula, as people will simply switch off and/or walk away.

I think they should have a penalty shoot-out,but only for the yawn-inducing 0-0 draws(not all of which are).It could be like American Idol,the votes are in,and people have chosen penalty kicks over damn i threw away 60 pounds.If it ain't broke,don't fix it but still tweak it.
