trust me it's usually mutual even though it is over the net. depends what you consider as over doing it .
I have had a chat buddy for 8 goo dlong years now, and we tell eachother everything and SMS eachother have spoken over the phone a few times. even though we live in the same city (opposite ends) we have never met. One day I hope ...
ANyway point is don't be scared jjust be yourself and if you guys keep in contact then you'll know he's a true friend. If he doesn't ... there are millions of others you just have to make an effort :)

I think chatting with strangers about personal matters on the Internet shows a distinct lack of self esteem. You need to make friends locally, people that you can see while you are talking people that know your friends and are proud to be seen with you. I think you have already over done it and it doesn't matter a hill of beans if he leaves you. What matters is that you don't feel worthy of a Real Life relationship and use this substitute like an emotional pacifier. It is dangerous and truly not apt to lead to anything that could possibly be construed as mature and lasting relationship.

i do not think there is really anyway to tell about that...but just keep talking to him life you have been and maybe you will learn more about each other...and i know that sometimes things like this brightens our day but you need to realize he is in another country and you may never meet.........do not make more of it than it is or try to guard yourself from being hurt in case something does happen ......

if you are happy chatting, don't stop or change... people naturally get bored... if it is going to end, it will... but while it lasts, enjoy!!! :D
