depends what you are doing and what you have done.

Work E-mails tend to have a IT department that look over them and if you using outlook email then all emails are stored.

If a normal email like yahoo or hotmail then no they are privite emails. IF you say certain things tho in emails then they can be intercepted to see what you are doing, if it involved illegal stuff, a computer picks up the words as you send it and if it deems it illegal will be intercepted by the people protecting your country, same goes for phone and text message.

Depends, 2 things to try. Go to www.gmail.com and set up an account. Forward all your current emails to that account and use the google search functions built in there. Or download the google desktop search function and use it to search your emails. That is if you have the emails on your computer as compared to having them on a web mail server. HTH!

Yes. They are recorded in your computer and in a server and if there is sufficient reason the government can get a search warrant and check all your correspondence.
