Bibliography - books you've read around the subject
References - a list of the books that you have taken quotes from to back up you're arguments and concusion. Ouch. Conclusion(s) that should be.

It means that you must say where you quoted from. In an essay, you will maybe use the Internet for information. If so, you must say so at the end of the paper, telling what the website was, and who did the work on the website.

If a book is used to find stuff out, then list the book's name and author, (this is the 'documentation').as a source. Of if it was a movie that you used to help you with the essay, say so and tell the title, author or producer. That material is the 'documentation'.

It means you must write the answer yourself. You may use books or other sources to obtain some or all of the information you use, but not copy others' material directly. You must identify the sources you use.

IMHO, I think it means to create a bibliography. Create a list of your sources for information, list the names of the books, or the URLs of the websites.
