You really do need to see a doctor to determine if your anemic or not.

anemia is caused when your body does not have enough iron... you can get iron from eating stuff like liver, red meat, green leafy vegetables.

once iron is in your body it does not get used up so to speak and the only way you will loose iron is through bleeding or tissue loss...

your heavy periods could well have something to do with a loss in iron, you should see a doctor.. all he will do is take a blood test from you that will check your haemoglobin levels, your levels should be between 10 and 15.

best of luck xx

It sounds like you could be... don't listen to a man when talking about periods!! Sorry mate!!

I had seriously heavy periods when I was younger and when you are losing that much blood (not real blood, i know) your iron count will become seriously low. I had problems with anaemia and this could be a part of your problem. The doctor will be able to sort this out for you.

Take Vitamin B6 supplements to help with the loss of iron (as this is mainly what anaemia boils down to) and take Evening Primrose Oil.

But to be 100% sure go to the docs. Good luck sweetheart!!

only way to find out is go for a blood teast at your gp, realy easy they will take some blood and you go back a week later for the results if your hb is low then you will be started on a course of iron tablets and given diet advice, if not you may still need a gyn review due to your heavy bleeding and bad cramps if it is interfering with your daily living, also if everything is normal try a course of multivitimins from a health food shop (i like the ones from health food shops better than the ones from the chemist), also take a look at your sleep paterns even tho you go to bed early are you geting a good sleep?

You probably are. Get some iron supplements. They'll do a lot of good. You also might get a multivitamin with iron because if you've been anemic for a long time you're probably run down as well.

maximum of people are counseled of vegan diets yet their very own. One being stable and wholesome, the different being evil and fairly undesirable. seem on the 1st remark. How brainwashed can somebody be to philosopher is stable. Meat actual includes too plenty protein for people. you will get only the spectacular volume of iron from eco-friendly leafy vegetables. in case you could, detect a vegan or vegetarian nutritionist on line. do no longer bypass to a doctor approximately foodstuff. docs understand stuff all approximately it.

Your symptoms are vague and there are several of them. If you have been feeling unwell for a few weeks go see your GP. A diagnosis is not possible from your question. You need a full history examination and blood work up.

The main sympton for anemia is tiredness. Get an anemia test from the docs, its a simple blood test & you have to increase the iron in your diet or take supplements.
