According to Wikipedia, the song is an original of the Cardiff-based band The Automatic. It has a remix version, which might be confusing you - but it's theirs.

The band Extreme had the song 'It's A Monster' on their 1989 smash, Pornograffitti.

There was a record by L7 in 1992 called monster but unsure they are the same though.
