Yes - I work for a charity. The pay's lousy but I love my job and look forward to going into work every day. And i'm only 4 days a week, so every weekend is a long one!

I work with people that are in the middle to latter stages of dementia. I enjoy the work but not for the usual reasons. My grandmother, to whom I was extremely close, had dementia. During the time that she was really on the downward slope, I had a nervous breakdown and wasn't with it at all when she lived out her last. I have never really got over this - the circumstances in which she died were terrible - and I have realised that working with suffers of dementia helps me reconcile my feelings and almost apologise to my nan. Sorry you didn't ask for a wet shoulder but this is something I have thought long and hard about; my job is my counselling too.

No I am not. The only job that has actually made me happy was the one I had before I moved to Pa.

I am.
I work for Edinburgh Uni.
I have loads of lovely girls coming through who I chat to etc, I like my co-workers, theres loads of perks, I am my own boss after a certain time.
About getting a mix, if you have a good boss and cool co workers you should enjoy even the worst job.

Yes, I am self employed after many years of working doing something I didn't enjoy because I had a degree in it and now I love what I do...

Not really. I don't make a ton of money and it's not creative enough for my life's calling. But I'm divorced with three kids. The handcuffs of finacial burden are on.
