okay i was soo worried about getting pregnant because me and my man did without protection and you know i got a lil scared so i did the pregnancy test like a week b4 my period came which it said five daysi on the box do with in five days b4 my period came now would it matter if i did a week b4 my period should i take it again on the week of my period?

I took a pregnancy test 7 days before my period was due and got a positive!
If you do not chart or monitor your fertility in any way, and you think you may have conceived, you should wait 19 days (or longer) after having sex to test. Why 19?! Sperm can live approximately 5 days in the proper environment; if the sperm managed to live until you popped an egg, the actual conception could have taken place several days after the sex act that got the sperm there. To make sure you're not testing too early, assume the sperm had very long lives (5 days is considered a very long sperm life) and that conception occurred then. Then allow 14 days for the embryo to implant and develop enough hCG to show up on a pregnancy test (96% of pregnant women will test positive by then.)

Did you know it takes an average of 1 year of trying for people to get pregnant? I was trying to get pregnant and i did the test before my period like it says on the box, but there is really no point. Take the test if you miss a period. It usually is nothing to worry about until you have missed a period. If your periods are still coming- breathe easy your not pregnant!
There is more to protection than pregnancy remember- wear ya condom in case of STD's. It's worth the hassle.

Yes you can have a period and still be pregnant but why don't you just go see a Dr or your OBGYN because stress and mess with your hormones and if you stress about it sometimes it can make you not have a period too...see your Dr and unless you want to be a mom go on the pill patch or get an injection that will keep you from having a baby. Has no one taught you about condoms? You can get an STD without one you know that right?

you should wait untill your period is late so the test isnt wrong if it comes back negative and your still late you can either wait another week or go to your doctor and ask for a blood pregnancy test and that will give you a definate yes or no

yes you should repeat the test because the hormone that you are testing for appears in the urine of pregnant women around the time that they should have had their period.
