This is one of the stereotypes and myths that can be very upsetting to a woman. It's almost like 'you cannot truly be a woman or find your love if you haven't got long sexy hair'. Well, if you got beautiful hair that you can grow long, and it looks great on you - congratulations, lucky you! And if not? Get a haircut that's right for your hair and your face type, look and feel great and be happy! And if you do have long beautiful hair, but just feel like getting a cut, why not? Unless of course your boyfriend is down on his knees begging you not to do it..

She doesn't. She gains something, as the change in appearance makes those familiar with her take notice afresh. This is in the short term.

Note though, that long hair is more versatile and if you have been growing your hair a long time it will take a long time to get back to that point. If you have very long, sexy hair (lower back or deeper) and want to experiment with shorter, more manageable styles, have your hair braided, then put the braid up when your in a short hair mood.

Did your boyfriend or husband tell you that? Sometimes men are freakin' weird about women's hair. they seem to think that long hair is more sexy. My mom's hair is really really short and it looks feminine and if she had long hair it would look awful on her. I wish some men would stop that malarkey.

Wrong gender. When Samson (Old Testament) cut his hair, he lost the superhuman strength that God gave him.
