I seen a pair of shoes for $377 on an American website and was wondering how much tax I would need to pay to have them imported to the UK? Is there a website that I can look at to see how much I would have to pay?
Plz help me!!!!

well as far as i know anything above £18 is VATable and has Duty applied to it if importing.

the link belows gives info but to get most recent rates you'll probably have to call up one of the two numbers as the duty rates effective 01/01/07 have not been published on the web as yet.

hope this helps

Be careful. I don't know what is the exact rate but I've been stung before. I imported handmade boots from cyprus and it costs me about 50% more! Why don't you try searching for the shoe to see whether it's available in the UK. It's probably worth the extra.

I've no idea but i would have thought the expense and trouble would be more than the shoes are worth!!
