it is better to take the song in context it was sung. the movie is about reincarnation - and the song tries to express the sentiment that true love will find each other - name will change, faces will change, but the voice of love will remain forever.. somehow, when love calls its eternal call, seasons may have changed, lives may have changed, but love will be able to reach out and hear - as long love is still there...

naam gum jayega....what is there in a name..people tend to forget them over the times.......chehra ye badal jayega....faces are deceptive..as many a people refuse to recognise a face for mere convinience of the situation they might be in.......meri awaaz hee pehchan hai....if u like some one or if he/she has won u over.... then merely communication by voice, however small, is enough to stirr memories and resurge recognition and those who truly identify with each other do so likewise and say.......gar yaad rahe....meaninig.... do remember me sometime because i would be happy to have some place in your memories like u have made a place in mine.
