you have a dolphin versus a tiger/great white shark. Could the dolphin outsmart and defeat the shark or would he be dead meat?

Most people would say the shark would win, but I think a fight with them both would be more like a game of chess. The shark is powerful and strong, granted, but the dolphin is the most intelligent cdreature on the Earth (if you believe Humans are second).
The shark needs to constantly keep moving to keep breathing ( a good thing for life) whereas the dolphin doesn't, so as long as the dolphin can avoid the jaws, I say the dolphin would win, all it would need to do is get the shark entangled in thick clumbs of weed or beach itself, so that it will die of suffocation.
Quick additional -
There isn't any law that says brawns will always come out on top of brains, both are of equal match, it is only a matter of how they are used.

The Dolphin can win! The shark is the suitable predator of the seas at the same time as the dolphin is the neatest sea creature. The Dolphin's front nostril is definitely a tough bone that would puncture and burst the gentle underside or abdomen of the shark using fact the shark have not got any bones in any respect. that's why a collection of dolphins surrounding an injured human cancontinual the shark away ..

Dolphins have been known to defend humans from shark attacks. They have the intelligence to beat a shark and their bottle noses are quite formidable weapons

The shark.
The shark is a hunter, and a dolphin would not out think it all the time. It's like, who would win a fight, Tyson or a 6yo a sprinter. One may be faster and wiser, but the other is lethal in the fight.

it is a well known fact that dolphins hunt in packs and harrass certain breeds of sharks
they do not occupy the same sea's as a great whites which are the biggest & most dangerous shark on the planet
they can out smart any species in the ocean!!!
for instance if mike tyson came to me, fists blazing & i had a gun i would shoot the t**t

The dolphin would win for the following reasons:
1. They have Naval training
2. Because of this training, they have an entire arsenal of military gear at their disposal.
3. Aquaman likes dolphins better than sharks and if one of his buddies got into trouble, Aquaman would be there to set things straight.

l've also heard that dolphins knock the wind out of sharks... they ram the shark in the gills with their noses... how true is this... l don't know for sure... could be just an urban legend.
