Sometimes when i drift off to sleep it is almost like i am stuck between half wakeness & half sleep; i am definateley not fully asleep as i am not dreaming as such & i am simewhat aware that i am awake but my mind will be dissoriented as my thinking will be distorted & get stuck on something over & over again as i toss & turn restlessly. If i completely snap myself out of it i can rarely recall what i was thinking but i do feel anxious & uncomfortable over that strange episode & restless sleep. Does anyone know what this is? I find i get this usually when i have studied a lot during the day. I am 24. Thanks

It is called being too tired to sleep. It happens to plenty of people that over tax their mind. Try taking a 20-30 minute nap when you first get tired. It will rejuvinate you, and keep you from being so tired at night.

A case of insomnia, u need to sleep when your tired. You need to get into a routine where u sleep and wake up at a set time. Some people sleep better with or without noise. If u leave your tv on at nite u cant fully get into a deep sleep. But some ppl find it easier to sleep with noise. If u stay up when ure tired u will go beyond tired and wont be able to sleep.

Drugs affect your sleep thats if you use any.

Sounds like you are just stressed out from studying or whatever other activity keeps ya poppin. My suggestion would be to have two tablets of Diphenhydramine Hydrochloride Brand name would be Benadryl but generic brands are cheaper it is a very safe sleep aid, take it 1/2 hour before you want to sleep, also good for motion sickness, common allergy and swelling caused by allergy

What you're describing sounds to me like the "under pressure" feeling from having too plenty caffeine in the past bedtime. verify your caffeine intake. once you're ingesting coffee , tea, or colas in the night (at the same time as interpreting) then you certainly may well be too under pressure to sleep once you choose to circulate to mattress. end with caffeinated drinks approximately 6 hours in the past bedtime. human beings's metabolism alterations a number of cases throughout their lifetimes, and an volume of caffeine you used to tolerate properly might now be too plenty. in case you're taking stimulants like no-doze, or God Forbid--meth, you ought to end on the instant. in case you experience that your sleep issues have something to do with melancholy, then you certainly can go on your college's health center and ask for an assessment. they are going to have the skill to advise ( and can have the skill to help alongside with your sleep affliction the two way...)

It could be that you are just overtired. If this happens to you a lot though I would talk to a Dr. about it. Bad sleep patterns like the one you are describing,if prolonged, could be very bad for your mental health and well being.

Can anyone say run-on sentence? SOrry, maybe you should talk to a doctor or nurse. Sounds normal, but how to fix it, not sure.
